System Verification and Validation Engineer – Aerospace & Defense

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled System Verification and Validation Engineer to lead training sessions, mentor teams, and execute projects in the development, testing, and validation of embedded systems. The role involves applying model-based development and advanced testing methodologies to ensure system reliability, functionality, and compliance with industry standards. Expertise in workflows such as Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) is essential. Familiarity with tools for system modeling, simulation, and safety analysis is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training on embedded software and hardware development, testing methodologies, and validation workflows.
  • Guide teams in model-based development and system simulation for embedded systems.
  • Execute projects to develop and validate robust designs for safety-critical systems.
  • Conduct workshops on platform integration, sub-system validation, and safety analysis.
  • Create training materials, case studies, and best practices to drive knowledge transfer and process improvements.
  • Collaborate on other projects with JD Edwards developers, contractors, and vendor consultants
  • Mentor teams on adopting XIL workflows (Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop).

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems or safety-critical applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience in delivering training or mentoring in embedded systems or testing.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or similar.
  • Good to Have: Experience with ANSYS tools such as SCADE, Twin Builder, and Medini or similar industry alternatives.
