Position Summary

Seeking a skilled Lab Engineer to support aerospace system development and testing, with a focus on structural and system validation. The role requires hands-on experience with data acquisition systems and knowledge of aerospace testing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:

  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams on product development and certification.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation (e.g., strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers).
  • Configure and operate data acquisition systems per OEM requirements.
  • Conduct environmental and functional tests for electro-mechanical and avionics systems.
  • Troubleshoot test setups, analyze data, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, DO-160, MIL-STD).
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Instrumentation, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or OEM environments.
  • Proficiency with tools like NI LabVIEW, MATLAB, or equivalent.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification, structural testing, or wind tunnel setups.
  • ASNT Level II/III NDT certification is a plus.
